Downloading WSOP Poker Tournament Videos
posted at 2011-07-12 15:29:27
Poker fans look forward to the World Series of Poker (WSOP) every year, as it not only draws tens of thousands of poker players to Vegas every year but poker websites are on hand to record tons of great video content. ESPN is also always on hand for the $10,000 buy-in Main Event and other large WSOP tournaments, with coverage shown both on ESPN during weekly broadcasts as well as on ESPN2 and ESPN3.
If you don’t get ESPN or miss the coverage when it’s originally broadcast, don’t despair as you’ve got plenty of options when it comes to downloading WSOP videos. Dedicated poker video sites like PokerTube provide thousands of videos that have been uploaded by users, with many of the ESPN broadcasts available for download just a few hours after they’re broadcast. Like any movie or file download site, many videos are later removed due to copyright or trademark issues, so you’ll sometimes have to try several times before you find the video you’re looking for.
YouTube also offers plenty of videos, including some WSOP broadcasts, but just like PokerTube they often come and go, removed from time to time due to copyright issues. That’s primarily for ESPN videos, though, and other video coverage from the WSOP can easily be found on YouTube and other sites. Dozens of different media outlets are at the WSOP each year so you’ll have different providers to choose from; ESPN is the largest but in some cases you’ll find better interviews and more in-depth content from other providers.
Poker games continue to grow in popularity around the world so you’ll be able to access videos in a variety of languages as well. Many of the media teams at the WSOP are from countries such as Spain, Italy, and France, so even if you’re not a native English speaker you’ll still be able to find plenty of WSOP videos for download featuring many of your favorite players.
